The book I am currently reading is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. In the book the main character, Liesel, is in a tough situation in her life. She just lost her brother and mother on the same day, she hasn't talked to her mom since that day. I believe Liesel is trying to escape a few things in the story. One thing I know Liesel is trying to escape is Sister Maria's classroom. There is no one she dislikes more than Sister Maria. Along with Sister Maria one of her obstacles in life is the inability to read and in my opinion she is trying to escape the chains that the inability to read has her caught in. I am enjoying the book. I was surprised because usually I don't read and I don't find it fun, but I find myself enjoying the book. I am not sure how the book will end yet because not a ton of action has happened yet but I believe there is a reason the story is told from the perspective of death.
