Blog #1

One time I was very uncomfortable and wanted to escape was when I had to give speeches in speech class. At first, my palms would be sweaty, I would stutter, lose my spot in my notes, and often talk too fast to really understand. I did not want to be in that class at all, everything about talking in front of people made me uncomfortable. This awkward, uncomfortable feeling was all I could think about. I needed to escape. After a few speeches I was still nervous, but I was overcoming my fears and it became easier over time. By the last few speeches I was completely unafraid of talking in front of my classmates and the speeches went by with ease, and I no longer felt the need to escape, as there was no reason to escape in the beginning.
